Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely completion of project deliverables
- Estimating manhours for Electrical design tasks
- Coordination of Electrical design with other disciplines
- Interfacing with Electrical team in other Exyte offices as required for successful completion of design
- Reporting progress to Electrical Lead
- Participation in regular team, group and department meetings
- Adherence to budget, quality and deadline requirements within the assigned projects
- Supporting project management in the preparation and, if necessary, updating of schedules
- Compliance with safety, health and environmental protection requirements
- Coordination and control of the interfaces of the individual trades
- Preparation of electrical design deliverable list
- Component selection and definition of technical specifications
- Knowledge of the latest German technical regulations, codes of practice and compliance with specifications is mandatory
Requirements
- Completed university studies in the field of engineering, or comparable qualification through technical training with several years of professional experience
- >10 years of professional experience in planning engineering electrical engineering
- Proficient with PC programs and MS Office applications
- Knowledge of specialist designs and calculations, e.g.
- Lighting calculations (DIALUX, Relux). lighting and security lighting
- Planning of cable laying systems (Ladders, Trays, etc.)
- Planning of bus bar systems incl. Junction boxes for power distribution
- Lightning protection and surge protection
- Safety power supply (Emergency generators /UPS-Systems)
- Integration of ATEX explosion protection requirements in the corresponding systems
- Ability to work in a team, initiative and commitment as well as a high degree of flexibility (Willingness to travel, short trips to vendor for FAT’s etc)
- Providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and giving support to the electrical team, to allow them to expand their capabilities and experience
- Proficient in English spoken written and comprehension
- Fluency in German is an advantage but not a strict requirement
