Project Engineer/Process Engineer — Nuclear Programmes
We are supporting a leading global engineering organisation delivering major nuclear projects in the Netherlands and the UK. This role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to support projects across the full engineering lifecycle, from early concept and FEED through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
As a Project Engineer / Process Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating technical activities and ensuring engineering scope is delivered in line with programme requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectations. The role may be weighted toward project engineering or process engineering depending on your experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines.
- Manage technical interfaces, requirements, and design changes.
- Develop and review technical deliverables such as calculations, specifications, datasheets, and engineering reports.
- Support design reviews, hazard and risk assessments, and verification & validation activities.
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure engineering documentation meets quality, configuration control, and nuclear regulatory standards.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in project engineering and/or process engineering
- Background in regulated or safety-critical industries (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, energy, chemicals, infrastructure)
- Strong documentation, coordination, and delivery skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- English required
- Nuclear experience is desirable
