Leather Product Development Technician/Engineer

Aim of the position:

The task of the Leather Product Developer is developing new products, improving the existing products, and supporting the manufacturing process for the sake of quality and innovation.

Main tasks:

1. Product Development:
   1. Designing and developing new leather products in consideration of the market demands and client expectation.
   2. Chosing the right material and technology for the products.
2. Creating prototypes:
   1. Production of prototypes during the design phase, creation of test samples.
   2. Testing and analyzing the performance of prototypes.
3. Quality control:
   1. Quality and functional testing of the developed products.
   2. Identifying deviations and suggesting necessary modifications in the manufacturing process.
4. Documentation and reporting:
   1. Detailed documentation of development processes and testing.
   2. Preparing regular reports for the Development Manager and Production Team.
5. Market research:
   1. Analyzing market trends and competitors to support product development.
   2. Collecting and considering customer feedback to improve products.
6. Collaboration:
   1. Close collaboration with manufacturing, quality control and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.
   2. Introducing new technologies and procedures to support the team’s work.

Expectations:

• Higher education in leather, materials science or chemical engineering.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in leather product development or related field.
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and team working skills.
