Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Provide strategic leadership across multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and client handover.
- Support, mentor and develop Project Managers, Site Managers and site teams, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
- Review project programmes, identify delivery risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Work closely with Commercial, Design, Procurement and Building Services teams to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Monitor project performance, providing guidance and support to maintain programme, commercial and operational objectives.
- Promote best practice in health & safety, quality assurance, technical compliance and construction methodologies.
- Lead project review meetings and provide regular operational updates to senior leadership.
- Support resource planning and project sequencing across multiple live projects.
- Resolve technical, commercial and programme challenges through collaborative decision-making.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout project delivery.
- Support successful commissioning, project handover and client satisfaction.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 15 years’ construction experience with significant Project Management or Senior Project Management responsibility.
- Proven experience successfully delivering complex residential, commercial, healthcare, conservation, heritage or mixed-use developments.
- Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent understanding of Irish construction methodologies, building regulations and health & safety legislation.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance programme, quality and project performance.
- Outstanding communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and decision-making abilities.
- Passion for mentoring others and developing high-performing teams.
- Full driving licence.
