Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Manage the commercial performance of mechanical and associated MEP work packages.
- Prepare budgets, cost plans, forecasts, cash-flow reports and cost-to-complete updates.
- Support procurement, tender analysis, subcontract negotiation and package placement.
- Administer subcontract accounts, valuations, variations, payment notices and final accounts.
- Identify, value and maintain clear records of change, risk and commercial entitlement.
- Work with project, engineering, design and procurement teams to protect programme and margin.
- Prepare accurate client applications and support commercial meetings and negotiations.
- Maintain auditable records and provide timely, concise reporting to commercial leadership.
- Promote collaborative relationships with clients and supply-chain partners.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related commercial discipline.
- Relevant experience on mechanical, MEP, building services or specialist engineering projects.
- Sound knowledge of subcontract administration, valuation, variation and final-account processes.
- Strong numerical, contractual, organisational and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary project team.
- Competence with standard commercial and reporting software.
- Experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or advanced-manufacturing projects.
- Knowledge of off-site fabrication and installation-led MEP delivery.
