Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules and contractual requirements.
• Prepare detailed mechanical and MEP estimates, take-offs, labour forecasts and cost plans.
• Issue supply-chain enquiries, assess quotations and identify scope gaps or qualifications.
• Work with design, planning, procurement, commercial and operations teams to develop the delivery solution.
• Identify tender risks, opportunities, exclusions, assumptions and value-engineering options.
• Prepare bid adjudication information and support internal tender reviews.
• Contribute to clarifications, negotiations and post-tender submissions.
• Complete structured handovers to project teams following award.
• Maintain current cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes.

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Services or Construction Economics.
• Proven estimating experience within mechanical services, MEP contracting or specialist engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installation methods, labour outputs and supply-chain pricing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Commercial judgement, accuracy and disciplined document control.
• Strong Excel capability and experience with estimating software.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Experience estimating complex industrial, data centre, pharmaceutical or manufacturing projects.
• Knowledge of modularisation or off-site fabrication.
