Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks and enforce safe systems of work.
- Supervise installation of steam, feedwater, condensate, auxiliary cooling water, water treatment, instrument air, drainage and balance-of-plant systems as applicable to the assigned work area.
- Manage direct labour and subcontractors to achieve daily production targets.
- Coordinate works with Civil, Structural, Electrical, C&I, QA/QC, Logistics and Commissioning teams.
- Ensure installations comply with IFC drawings, specifications and project quality requirements.
- Monitor productivity, identify delays and implement appropriate recovery actions.
- Support hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, line walking and mechanical completion.
- Maintain strong housekeeping, project documentation and daily reporting.
- Ensure daily work fronts, materials, plant, quality inspections, progress reporting, safety observations and site diaries are effectively managed.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mechanical supervisory role.
- Experience on power generation, energy, pharmaceutical or mission-critical projects.
- Mechanical trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Working at Height certification.
- Knowledge of high-pressure piping, P22/P91 materials and mechanical equipment installation is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong site leadership, coordination and communication skills with the ability to manage direct labour and subcontractors.
