Manufacturing / Fabrication QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Implement project quality plans, inspection and test plans, check sheets and hold-point controls.
• Inspect fabricated assemblies, materials, welds, dimensional accuracy, finishes and documentation.
• Verify material certification, traceability, calibration and manufacturing records.
• Coordinate inspections with production, welding, engineering, project and client representatives.
• Raise, track and close non-conformances, corrective actions and improvement actions.
• Support root-cause analysis and promote preventive, right-first-time quality practices.
• Compile manufacturing record books, turnover packs and quality handover documentation.
• Support supplier quality reviews, audits and incoming goods inspection where required.
• Monitor quality trends and provide clear reporting to management and project teams.

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria

• Qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Welding, Quality or a related engineering discipline.
• QA/QC experience in fabrication, manufacturing, mechanical services, piping or structural steel.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, weld maps and inspection documentation.
• Working knowledge of relevant quality standards, traceability and non-conformance processes.
• Strong attention to detail, practical judgement and communication skills.
• Competence in digital quality records and standard Microsoft applications.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Welding inspection qualification or relevant NDT awareness.
• Experience compiling turnover dossiers for regulated or technically demanding projects.
