Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Assist with the production and coordination of BIM models throughout project delivery.
- Support BIM Engineers with model reviews and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Assist in identifying design clashes within federated models using BIM software.
- Attend BIM coordination meetings and record actions and project updates.
- Help prepare coordination reports and project documentation.
- Support the management of digital project information within Common Data Environments (CDEs).
- Assist with maintaining BIM models, drawing registers, and coordination records.
- Carry out model quality checks under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support project teams with BIM-related queries and digital information requests.
- Assist with preparing client deliverables and BIM documentation.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across BIM and Digital Engineering.
- Develop knowledge of BIM standards, ISO 19650, company procedures and digital construction technologies.
- Continue developing technical skills through mentoring, project experience, and training.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Architectural Technology, BIM, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a BIM, Architectural Technology, Design Coordination or Digital Engineering role.
- Graduates with relevant placement experience will also be considered.
- Basic understanding of BIM methodologies and digital construction workflows.
- Experience using Autodesk Revit is essential.
- Exposure to Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDEs) is desirable.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with a genuine interest in developing a career within Digital Construction.
- Full driving licence or willingness to travel to project locations when required.
