Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Lead the successful delivery of multiple construction projects across residential, commercial, conservation and specialist sectors.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to Project Managers, Site Managers and project teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop, review and monitor construction programmes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Chair project meetings and provide regular commercial and operational updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, quality management systems and company procedures.
- Oversee project resources, sequencing and delivery strategies to maximise programme efficiency.
- Work closely with Commercial, Design, Procurement and Technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Support project planning, design coordination, procurement and successful project handover.
- Mentor and develop project teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience delivering complex construction projects.
- At least 5 years’ experience operating at Contracts Manager level.
- Proven experience successfully managing multiple concurrent projects valued between €10m-€30m or above.
- Strong background delivering residential, commercial, healthcare, conservation or similarly complex construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish construction regulations, health & safety legislation and quality standards.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance programme, quality and financial performance.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced project environments.
- Passionate about mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement.
- Full driving licence.
