Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Lead and manage multiple projects to meet programme deadlines, ensuring phased or full handover within agreed budgets.
- Maintain overall site safety, liaising closely with the Safety Manager and ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations and PCL EHS System standards.
- Develop, monitor, and update construction programmes; coordinate with the Design Team and Project Managers on schedule changes and variations.
- Represent the company at site meetings, preparing and presenting professional progress reports, contractor reports, and schedules.
- Oversee the quality of work, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, building regulations, and best practice standards.
- Collaborate with the Contracts Director to resource and staff projects appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive site records, including diaries, allocations, and advice forms.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the Contracts Director and Managing Director, ensuring projects are managed in line with company systems.
- Liaise with internal teams such as Purchasing, Quantity Surveying, and Head Office to facilitate timely reporting and project support.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Minimum of 15 years’ industry experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects valued between €10-€30 million.
- At least 5 years’ experience in contracts management.
- Extensive experience in conservation, residential, and commercial projects is essential. Your background should demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique requirements and standards within these sectors.
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Architecture, or a construction-related discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
