Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Lead pre-construction activity from opportunity review through tender, preferred-bidder stage and handover.
- Develop the bid strategy, delivery methodology, design plan, procurement plan and key milestones.
- Coordinate estimating, commercial, design, BIM, planning, procurement and operations inputs.
- Challenge scope, identify interfaces and drive buildability, modularisation and value-engineering reviews.
- Manage tender deliverables, responsibilities, deadlines, risk registers and governance reviews.
- Engage with clients, consultants, specialists and supply-chain partners to resolve technical and commercial matters.
- Ensure proposals address programme, logistics, commissioning, quality, safety and handover requirements.
- Lead structured project handover and transfer of tender assumptions, risks and commitments.
- Capture lessons learned and improve pre-construction systems, templates and performance data.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Relevant degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Substantial pre-construction, bid, design-management or project-delivery experience on complex MEP projects.
- Strong technical understanding of building services and their integration with CSA works.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and turn incomplete information into a clear delivery strategy.
- Commercial awareness, confident client engagement and excellent written proposal skills.
- Structured, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
Desirable Additional Experience
- Experience with data centres, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing or other mission-critical environments.
- Understanding of digital construction, off-site manufacture and commissioning-led planning.
