CSA Estimator

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Analyse CSA drawings, specifications, bills, schedules and employer requirements.
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs and build elemental estimates and cost plans.
• Coordinate subcontract and supplier enquiries and complete like-for-like comparisons.
• Assess construction methodology, logistics, temporary works, phasing and programme implications.
• Identify design gaps, scope interfaces, risks, opportunities and value-engineering proposals.
• Collaborate with MEP estimators, planners, designers, procurement and delivery teams.
• Prepare tender summaries, qualifications and adjudication packs for senior review.
• Support tender interviews, clarifications, negotiations and project handover.
• Maintain pricing intelligence and improve CSA estimating templates and benchmarks.

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria

• Degree or trade/technical qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction.
• Relevant estimating experience across civil, structural and architectural packages.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, measurement, subcontract procurement and cost build-up.
• Ability to interrogate design information and communicate scope clearly.
• High level of accuracy, commercial awareness and deadline management.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with digital take-off or estimating platforms.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Structural steel, concrete, envelope or industrial-building experience.
• Experience on mission-critical, life-science, manufacturing or logistics projects.
