Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Manage and coordinate site activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Liaise with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor progress against schedules, resolve issues promptly, and report on project milestones.
- Enforce strict health and safety standards, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and quality standards.
- Manage site teams and subcontractors, providing leadership and direction.
- Control site logistics, materials, and resources to optimize productivity.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, safety reports, and progress documentation.
- Identify and resolve site issues proactively, minimizing delays and cost overruns.
- Contribute to project planning and programming in collaboration with the project team.
Your Qualifications and Key Criteria
- Proven track record as a Site Manager in the construction industry
- 10 years plus experience across residential, commercial, or heritage/conservation projects is preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate teams effectively
- Relevant qualifications such as a Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
