Junior Mechanical Engineer – Frankfurt

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Shall report directly to the Mechanical Project Manager.
• The role shall be predominately field based.
• Management of mechanical systems packages.
• Have an understanding of the project schedule and milestones.
• Tracking of sub-contractor progress against the project schedule. Being able to identify when works aren’t progressing as required to meet the project schedule.
• Ensuring that all mechanical sub-contractors are working in a co-ordinated manner with all other sub-contractors (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, CSA) to achieve the overall project objectives.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor(s).
• Management of QA of the mechanical systems in conjunction with the QA Manager.
• Management of pre-commissioning & testing of the mechanical systems and handover of said systems and/or equipment to the commissioning team.

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria

• 2 years of experience working as a site mechanical engineer
• Self-driven and able to work on their own initiative
• A mechanical engineering degree/qualification
• History of working on Data Centre projects preferred but not essential
• Ability to use MS Office programmes
• Ability to use construction software, i.e., view drawings/3D model, QA software, commissioning software etc.
• Fluent English
• Ability to work in Germany. EU citizenship highly preferred
