PC Software Engineer – JAVA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform full software life cycle functions covering requirement engineering, architecture and software design, software development, documentation, and support.
• Develop and configure a JAVA desktop software (YAMCS: https://github.com/yamcs/yamcs) used for hardware and embedded software development and testing, and data evaluation for ground and space systems.
• Provide software solutions covering a wide technology stack (JAVA, Python, JavaScript, .NET C#).
• Analyze high-level requirements and translate them into detailed software requirements and feasible system-level architecture and software design.
• Perform design reviews, code reviews, unit testing and write documentation.
• Keep contact with the international space agencies and partners.
• Follow the ECSS standard during the development process.
• Used tools: Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, JIRA, GitLab.

Education & Experience Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science
• 3+ years experience in JAVA development
• Good problem-solving ability using a wide tech stack
• Ability to work in a team
• Proficiency in English
